<span style="font-family: inherit;">The Lord takes a negative approach to reveal a positive
pathway for this church. I do not believe it is the Lord’s desire to spew out churches,
but to warn the body of believers of the impending consequence of their lack of
genuine faith.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">A New Testament church has to impact the world, just as the
first century church changed culture from; Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria to the
ends of the earth. The first church body turned the world upside down with
their message, with their lives, their commitments and their passion.<o:p></o:p></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The problem of the Laodicean church was that they were more
comfort-driven than eternity-driven. Today we live in comfortable and fun
culture centered around pleasure. It’s hard not to get caught up in that. We
have adopted this culture of ease and comfort into the church, and nothing
seems out of the norm.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">But what happens when Jesus, “spews thee out”? What happens

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">When the Lord left his church he did not leave us helpless.
He sent a comforter. But, what is the purpose of a comforter is it not to
comfort? However, the Laodicean church needs no comforting for its culture is
that of ease and comfort. It is
therefore a Spirit-quenched church that lacks a genuine faith. When the Lord
takes away the comfort and ease of doing church, this church will lay as vomit
ejected from the company of our Lord. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">A Spirit-filled Church is an Eternity-driven Church. It’s a
church who’s focus is the Lord, who is the chief cornerstone upon which its
foundation lays. This church continues in the fellowship and the breaking of
bread even in times of great peril and tribulation. Its goal is to pursue the
mission of its Lord no matter the cost – a perpetual witness. You see when
Jesus established his church he set it in motion – kinetic energy if you like.
This kinetic force must continue until the Lord returns. But what must
continue? The making of disciples. You see if that’s your focus, you do not
need comfort or ease. All Jesus is saying to the Laodicean church is; repent
and get back to making disciples. This is the energy that characterizes a
Spirit led church. I hope this is the spirit that the Lord blows through you as
the Lord sends us to make disciples of all nations. "<i>No Matter the Cost</i>".<o:p></o:p></span></div>

This is a question I asked myself while I worked on church staff. I even went online to see if anyone had any special system that works. I read up on guys that did all kinds of different things which were mostly of no use in the place God had called me to.</span><br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">So I asked myself the question. “Why do we go into towns and countries to start churches?” So many times we are guilty of making the great commission so complex when it is SIMPLE. GO – TEACH – BAPTIZE – TEACH. (Matthew 28:19-20). </span></blockquote>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Here is – the How To</b>.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>1.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span> KNOW WHY WE START A NEW TESTAMENT BAPTIST CHURCH</b></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>DO NOT</b> go in an area with plans to establish a church, this would be placing your desires to do only what Christ can do. <b>GO</b> with the desire to reach as many people as possible to Christ. Remember that Christ is the Builder, he said, “<i>I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it</i>.” If we give Him the building materials (converts), He will use them to build His local church. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">So we start churches in order to win as many people to Christ as possible. Everything else is a means to this END.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>2.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF SOUL-WINNING AND DOOR-KNOCKING</b></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">It’s not just about filling the Lord’s house Sunday morning. For what profit is it if we have great attendance but, not converts? Our desired purpose should be to bring the lost to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ with the intent of making disciples - John 15:8. As someone once said, “win all you can, as often as you can, and let God worry about whom will ‘stick’ in the local church He is using you to build”. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Therefore, soul-winning and discipleship(church building) are inseparable.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>3.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>KNOW THAT YOUR STATE OF MIND MUST BE FIXED ON CHRIST ALONE</b></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Nothing can give you more confidence in what Christ can do through you, than having seen Him build something through you. If you have never started anything or helped your pastor grow a ministry in your church. You’re setting yourself up for failure and discouragement. Working hard in your church shows you have a character of loyalty, a desire to see a ministry through and ability to generate financial support through the offerings of those you reach. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">When you’re invaluable in your local church, God is ready to use you.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT:</b></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br />
<ul><span style="font-family: inherit;">
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b><i>No great work is built overnight.</i></b> So preach the Word, stick with it and you will succeed.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b><i>Every man is different.</i></b> God will use you according to your potential. If all preachers were the same, people would not gravitate to them and what the ministry had to offer.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b><i>You can do more by staying put than you ever could, moving from place to place.</i></b> There should never be a place that is, “back home”. Where God leads you must be HOME!</span></li>
</span></ul>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">“Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do it all to the glory of God” </span><br />

"<i><b>You can not succeed at anything, if you do not attempt anything</b></i>."<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">However when you attempt something, you open the door to failure. Therefore we conclude that success attracts failures.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">What are the pitfalls, of being driven by success at the pulpit?</span><br />
<br />
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Success attracts people of different persuasions.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Success alters the principle that brought success.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Success allows the different persuasion.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Success acknowledges the people of different persuasion.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Success acclimates to the people of different persuasion.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Success accomplishes the goal of people and personalities of different persuasions.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Success then becomes failure because of the failures our success attracted. </span></li>
</ol>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Instead:</span></div>
<div>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Don't let being popular or unpopular affect your position.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Don't live for the present effects of your position, but the future effects.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Don't trade Heaven's applause for Earth's applause.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Don't lose your balance because of an offensive move by Satan in one area.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Don't alter principle to keep people.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Don't worry when people don't like your position, only when they don't like your disposition.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Don't develop an isolation attitude but an insulation attitude toward those who change.</span></li>
</ol>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">" <i><b>I charge thee therefore before God, and Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears</b></i>." 2 Timothy 4:1-3</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><b>To remain Biblical in ministry we must be driven by the Word of God.</b></span></div>

<b><span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">I. What is this?</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">This is the understanding of how culture just as much as language has an influence on the reception of the gospel message around the world. This to help us understand how different ethnic groups receive the gospel message. All research information is changing rapidly. I recognize that there may be groups over 10,000 in population that have not been studied as well as "Christian Adherent" groups though some of these groups may need to be re-evangelized. However groups from cultural and nominal Christian backgrounds are included on the CPPI index found at www.peoplegroups.org. Profiles, additional data, and resources are available at www.joshuaproject.org.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">II. This article focuses on ethnolinguistic UNENGAGED, Unreached People Groups.</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">I acknowledge that there are many unreached people groups that still need many more workers for the harvest. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><b>The purpose</b> of this STUDY is bring our focus on those groups which have no KNOWN workers engaging in full-time evangelism and church planting. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">Also it is to discourage the "nesting syndrome" in modern missions. In today's day and age we should be more eager to strike out on our own (if the door is open) rather than cluster in the same place. Be it the Lord's will.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">III. Where did this information come from?</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">This information is obtained from, the <i>International Mission Board</i>, <i>Joshua Project</i>, and <i>the Center the Study of Global Christianity</i>. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">The Matthew 24:14 passage says, <i>that the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world for a witness unto all "nations".</i>. and the Matthew 28 command of our Lord to, “make disciples of all nations.” </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">I believe the first step to being obedient to that command is to encourage full-time workers to go to every group. Also to empower and equip those who are already on the ground to do more, since they are already cultured. Knowing the cultural ins and outs is a vital part of integration otherwise the gospel is simply your religion. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">IV. What is the progress on previously Unengaged People Groups</span></b><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">Many mission organizations and churches have prioritized the sending of workers to previously Unengaged People Groups. Here is a report of the outreach efforts since 2006.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><b>598</b> - Groups engaged</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><b>18,000</b> - Full-time missionaries</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><b>51,000</b> - Bi-vocational and part-time workers</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><b>77,000</b> - Churches planted</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><b>2 Mil</b> - Estimated believers</span><br />
<b style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">453</b><span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"> - Ethnolinguistic Unengaged* Unreached People Groups</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;">Many more workers are needed for these groups, but we praise God for His blessings thus far.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><br /></span>

<span style="background-color: white;">To do this, many have begun looking to native missionaries, who are doing 95% of effective pioneer work among unreached peoples in the world today.</span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;">However as more research surfaces about native missionaries’ effectiveness, more and more "organizations" are using the nationals.</span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;">Sounds like a good thing, right? Well, there’s a problem with my above statement and it has to do with that word <b>“using"</b>.</span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;">“Using” implies putting other people to work to carry out our objective, our vision. If we are to plant indigenous Churches that remain we have to rethink this method to <b>"equipping"</b>. Ephesians 4:12 uses the word "Perfecting" which means "to fully equip".</span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;">“Equipping” is an entirely different ballgame. It involves teaching, evaluating, listening, entrusting, and assisting. That’s what we do in Zambia. And that’s why I love working here. We ask questions like “What is your vision and what do you need to fulfill it?” For were there is no vision the people perish. </span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;">For example in Zambia, One of the men in the church told me that people won't come to church unless they know someone. So personal connection is more effective than cold call door knocking or print, and it proved to be true.</span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;">Unfortunately I have discovered a trend in our Churches in America. That is, the mentality that church planting is the same in the US as it is abroad. The opposite is true.</span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;">If you don’t live were they live and learn how they think, how would you know what methods are best to reach their people? When it comes to foreign missions one size simply does not fit all.</span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;">When it comes to the most important work on earth we should be more strategic. Less empire building and more mission focused. And for the missionary, Less <b>using</b> and more <b>equipping</b>? </span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: white;">By Martin Chilando, Zambia</span></div>
<div style="color: #5f5f5f; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-stretch: normal; line-height: 20px; margin: 2px 10px 5px; padding: 0px;">

<span style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 22.390625px;">In essence, </span><strong style="line-height: 22.390625px;">New Testament missions</strong><span style="line-height: 22.390625px;"> is the process of planting and building indigenous local congregations around the world, to the ends of the earth. Missions is seeing people saved, and then obviously in turning to the Saviour they become disciples. This is the beginning of learning and following the WAY of Christ. Christ is the way to heaven and He is the Head of His plan for service in the local church. This is why Jesus said His disciples were to make followers, baptize, and teach all the things that He had taught. The New Testament way includes the cross of Christ and also involves the church of that same Christ! Jesus said ‘I will build my church…’ The Apostle Paul included every Christian in this church building work by stating ‘We are laborers together with God. </span><span style="line-height: 22.390625px;">Missions is church work, and church work is missions!</span></span></div>

Men and boys throughout the country enthusiastically enlisted in the army. They, too, wanted to free the "motherland" from a hated yoke of oppression.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Lacking finances to fund what is now known as the Prussian War of Liberation, the king provided a way for the women to sacrifice for their country as well. He asked them to bring their gold and silver jewelry to be melted for their country. In exchange, the women were given iron jewelry with inscription <i>Gold gad ich fur Eisen</i> ("I gave gold for Iron").</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The Women donated jewelry just as enthusiastically as the men enlisted in the military. Wearing gold or silver jewelry became viewed as unpatriotic and the women prized their iron even more highly than the gold. It was proof that they had sacrificed for their king.</span><br />

<div style="background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; line-height: 14.65pt; margin: 0in 0in 9.6pt;">
<span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As in every other activity of the church,
the key person is the pastor. If missions is not a priority with the pastor it
will not be a great missions church. However, if it is a priority with the
pastor, any church regardless of the size can have a great missions impact.
Since the pastor is the key there are some necessary ingredients.</span></span></div>
<div style="background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; line-height: 14.65pt; margin: 0in 0in 9.6pt;">
<span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">- He must have

<span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">- He must

<span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">- A great missions church will give a large percentage of their
total offerings to missions. </span></span></div>
<div style="background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; line-height: 14.65pt; margin: 0in 0in 9.6pt;">
<span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">- From a great missions church some of the best
members will go to the mission field.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<b><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="color: #5d5d5d;">The Mandate Is U</span><span style="color: #5d5d5d;">ncompromising</span></span></b><br />
<b><span style="background-color: white; color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></b>
<div style="background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; line-height: 14.65pt; margin: 0in 0in 9.6pt;">
<span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The great task of worldwide evangelism
was given to the church. It is the glorious privilege and responsibility of
every group that calls themselves a church. Even though churches work together
in this task, every church should pray, go, and give as if they were the only
church. In other words, the purpose of our church is worldwide evangelism. The
great commission is not just a good idea. It is not a suggestion. It is not
even a request. It is the final mandate of the Lord to His Church just before
He ascended back to Heaven.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 14.65pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;">
<span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">He
plainly commanded,<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><em>“Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations…”</em><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>The word <em>teach</em><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>here means to make converts. We are
to evangelize the entire world. This is done by the preaching of the Gospel.
All men need a Saviour. Christ died for the sins of the whole world. We have
good news for sinners. Sinners do not have to pay for their own sins by dying
and going to Hell. Christ has died for them. He paid the price for them. Again
He commanded,<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><em>“Go ye into all the world, and
preach the gospel to every creature.”</em><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>In reality, no group that is not at
the task of worldwide evangelization should call themselves a church. Missions
is not a program in the church. The program of the church is MISSIONS.</span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></div>
<b><span style="color: #5d5d5d; text-shadow: none;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: small;">Your Church Can Make a Difference</span></span></b><br />
<b><span style="color: #5d5d5d; text-shadow: none;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: small;"><br /></span></span></b>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 14.65pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-size: 10pt; text-shadow: none;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white;">Regardless of the size of your church, you can
make an impact on a lost and dying world. Jesus tells us, <i>“The Harvest
truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of
the harvest that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” </i>The
harvest has never been so great and the labourers so few. Your church through
praying, giving and sending can provide the labourers for the great harvest
fields of the world. This will not happen without a conscious effort on the
part of the leaders of your church. Stop and think. Is my church totally
involved in obeying the last command of the Lord, or do we just have a token
interest in worldwide evangelism?</span><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A better understanding of who God is
and what he is trying to accomplish in the world is a good place to start.</span></span></div>
<br />
<div style="background: white; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Motivation for Missions</strong><span class="apple-converted-space"><b> </b></span></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<span style="font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
God’s main intention in human history is to reunite himself with a world (people) that
is estranged by sin. All that he is doing in time is an effort to
further that desire. From the first verses of Genesis to the last verses of
Revelation, his intention is articulated and illustrated. The wonder of it all
is that he wants to accomplish this mission through the faithfulness of people
like you and me.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> The fundamental biblical
motivation for committing ourselves to missions is this - we love God and want
to please him in our faithfulness. Our motivation to serve God in missions is
further fueled by three factors:</span></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><strong>Christ Sacrificed Himself
For Us On The Cross</strong><span class="apple-converted-space"><b> </b></span></span></div>
<div style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
The first public description of Jesus presented in the Bible is when John the
Baptist called out:<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><em>“Behold! The Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.”</em><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>This proclamation in many ways sums up
what Jesus’ mission was all about.</span></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">There Is A Great Need To
Hear His Message Throughout The World</span></strong></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<span style="font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">
Having experienced the wonderful redemption God is offering to the world, the heartfelt response is to share it with those who haven’t heard. When we realize
that there are more than two billion people who have yet to hear the gospel in
an understandable way, then the need becomes compelling, even heart-breaking.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<span style="font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">We must ask God to give us
a heart for the lost; for those who have not yet experienced this redemptive
relationship with God. When we more clearly perceive the need in the world, we
fully appreciate the wonder of God’s salvation.</span></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<b><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">We delight In Pleasing Our Master </span></b></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 13.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">When we see the great magnitude of Christ's sacrifice for us, when
we realize the great need of many to hear the message, and when we envision
what it will be like one day to stand before him as his bride, then we will be
truly inspired and empowered to serve in his redeeming mission.</span></span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7409579184743930155.post-82899225955159178462011-12-09T16:03:00.001-08:002013-06-28T19:06:45.116-07:00The Day is Almost Spent<br />

How many congregations do you know that are really on fire for evangelism and missions? The very term <em style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">soulwinning</em> is now scorned among some. Evangelistic campaigns, special evangelistic days, public invitations and most anything that smells aggressively evangelistic is labeled, by some as "optional".</span></div>

the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ around this world in these

We must also pray for our leaders and to take every opportunity to share the
message of Christ and the uniqueness of His claims with each and every one of
them. And finally, may we pray today for revival in our land as we seek God’s

<ul>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b>Unreached and unevangelized:</b> 90% of the people living in the 10/40 Window are unevangelized. Many have never heard the Gospel message even once. There are either no Christians or not enough of a "Christian movement" in many cultures of the 10/40 Window to carry out vibrant near-neighbor evangelism. If those groups are to be evangelized, believers will need to leave their own culture and enter another one where they will seek to plant the gospel, perhaps even learning a new language in order to communicate. Such cross-cultural evangelism is required because there are people groups with no churches that are understandable or relevant to them.</span><ul>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b>Good news:</b> There's a difference between unreached and unreachable. In 1989 there were only four known Christians living in Mongolia That country now has an estimated 10,000 indigenous believers. Also, Christian television programming can now be received in many closed 10/40 Window nations.</span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b>Poverty:</b> Eighty-five percent of those living in the 10/40 window are the poorest of the world's poor.</span></li>
<ul>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b>Good news:</b> Christians delivered more than $1 million worth of food to just one 10/40 Window refugee camp in a recent year. In one North African country that is hostile to the Gospel, abundant rain fell after an Easter service. A local news channel reported, "Christians have brought rain to the desert."</span></li>
</ul>
</ul>
<div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Statistics</span></div>
<ul>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">865 million unreached Muslim or Islamic followers in 3330 cultural sub-groupings</span></li>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">550 million unreached Hindus in 1660 cultural sub-groups</span></li>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">150 million unreached Chinese in 830 groups</span></li>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">275 million unreached Buddhists in 900 groups</span></li>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2550 unreached tribal groups (which are mainly animistic) with a total population of 140 million</span></li>
<li><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Forming a smaller -- though important -- unreached group are the 17 million Jews scattered across 134 countries.</span></li>
</ul>
<div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The question is: who's responsibility is it to reach the unreached? Who's responsibility is it to keep the so called reached or evangelized from slipping back into the unreacheable? If you know Christ as your personal savior you have a responsibility. You can Pray for God to send someone. You can give so that someone can go. You can Go. </span></div>
<div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Doing nothing is not an option. Yet many are doing just that, hiding behind the curtain of institutional-ism (Someone else/ organization will cover my lack of participation). </span></div>
<div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Do something if you call yourself a believer.</span></div>

The entire population of the U.S. is only 300 million, so the world’s population is 20 times that of America. That is a staggering number of human beings. Some missionary leaders still estimate that at least half of them have <b>never heard</b> the Gospel, and some three-fourths of them have not had a clear presentation of the Gospel. Joel was right when he declared, “<em style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision.</em>”</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: white; color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;"><div style="margin-bottom: 0.8em; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">Over 40 million people die annually with an estimated 39 million being unsaved.
